At Evalesco, we’re constantly striving to push the boundaries of what we can achieve together. Recently, our team came together for an exciting conference and a memorable adventure in Cebu, Philippines. Here’s a look at the highlights and key moments that made this event truly special.
Conference highlights
Jeff and Belinda started their trip by attending a 4-day conference with over 120 like-minded delegates from nearly 70 Australian financial planning practices to explore the world of innovation, technology and the potential of global connection.
As part of the conference, Jeff and Belinda were able to participate in an outreach program to a local orphanage where they played games with the children to brighten their day a little. Such a rewarding experience to see such beautiful children, with very little, still smiling and living each day to the full!
Raphael’s well-deserved recognition
We are thrilled to announce that one of our Financial Planning Assistants, Raphael was a finalist for the Rookie Admin of the Year award at the recent Talent & Awards Night which closed out the conference! This award recognises outstanding performance for a new team member (less than 12 months) who has added significant value to the business and our clients. This nomination is a testament to Raphael’s proactive approach, enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to the advice and service we provide to our clients. Congratulations, Raphael!
Karaoke and team spirit
To welcome Jeff and Belinda back to Cebu and to celebrate Raphael’s achievement, the team enjoyed a fantastic night out filled with great food and karaoke. Our hidden talents in singing and dancing were on full display, with Jeff leading us in a rousing rendition of “Uptown Funk.” The energy in the room was electric. It was a perfect blend of fun and team bonding!
Team offsite highlights
Our team offsite on Bantayan Island was an insightful and productive 3 days of time away from the office to learn, connect and grow. Various aspects of Evalesco’s business goals as well as individual personal goals were explored as well as some further technical training to enhance team members skills.
A creative session building on Evalesco’s values was also included were both teams were tasked to create a song incorporating two of our values. The lively song and dance presentations were lots of fun and an engaging way to reinforce our commitment to these principles.
Bantayan Island adventure: Fun and exploration
The adventure didn’t stop with the conference. We embraced the natural beauty of Bantayan Island with beach games, including telepathy challenges, action relays, and TikTok dances. We explored various beaches, took a thrilling leap off a cliff, and visited a mangrove site as well as the highest point of Bantayan Island.
A highlight was our visit to a stunning garden in Cebu City upon our return to the main island. Jeff and Belinda also enjoyed some local delicacies, mastering the perfect way to eat mangoes, adding to the many memorable experiences.
This trip was a wonderful blend of professional development, team bonding, and exploration. We returned with fresh ideas, strengthened relationships, and lasting memories. We are grateful for the dedication of our Cebu team and the friendships that continue to grow.
