Client: Pat & Abbey
Having just finished renovating a house, with young daughters heading toward high school and feeling as though they were swimming in debt, Pat & Abbey knew they should be doing something to progress their financial lives.
Frozen by their debt levels, we took small steps to restructure cashflow, focussed on paying down debt, working towards a level where they were comfortable talking about the next steps.
We’ve now just implemented the next 5 year plan which is focused on Pat scaling back his high paying corporate job and transitioning towards retirement when they’ll be living debt free.
We put in place a plan that allowed them to still sleep at night, whilst making steady progress towards their financial goals. When they had executed that first phase, we coached them to build on that growing investor confidence to take the next step.
If you can’t sleep at night, the financial plan is not right. It’s OK to start small, get more comfortable and build from there.
